BRIEF HISTORY OF PROVINCIAL GROUP, NAGPUR. Provincial Automobiles is the proud custodian of the 91 years legacy of trust and quality customer service. Provincial Auto is the fifth oldest car dealership in India. Established in the 1930s, before India’s Independence. Provincial Automobiles yet still strives to excel itself along with its stakeholders. The first milestone of Provincial Automobiles began when the founder of this legacy, Shri Purushottam.B.Kale, an Electrical & Mechanical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore, started his journey in the automobile industry by being the only Dealer for Ford Motor Company and Fordson Tractors for 32 districts of Central Provinces & Berar. In 1952, after the discontinuation of Imports of Motor Vehicles by the Government of India, Provincial Auto continued to efficiently maintain the service facility to its customer base. Its workshop was considered to be one of the best facilities in Central India. In 1954, Provincial Automobiles were appointed as Dealers of Mahindra and Mahindra limited, for all its range of vehicles and later its tractors range as well in 1978. In the last 91 years and still running, Provincial Automobile has successfully continued to be a prominent family-run business with the 4th generation of Shri P.B.Kale expanding and evolving this legacy. Even today Provincial Automobiles continues to be amongst the leading dealers of Mahindra and Mahindra for their wide range of products in the Personal Segment, Small Commercial Vehicles, Farm Equipments, Construction equipment, and Certified Used cars with a Database of Automobile Customers of 50,000+ with 45% of the customers in Semi-Urban and Rural Areas. In 2004, Provincial auto was awarded the franchise of Mahindra First Choice which is in the business of certified used cars. A majority of the customers are mostly first-time car buyers, who seek advice from our experienced personnel on Finance and Insurance for the cars purchased from us.
